About the

The TOEIC® programme offers several test options and a variety of instructional and learning resources designed to measure English language proficiency in four key skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing. The tests provide accurate, reliable scores comparable to the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) standards.

About the TOEFL ITP® tests

The TOEFL ITP tests have the same rich heritage as the TOEFL iBT® test, one of the world's most respected English language assessment programs. Using university-level academic content, the TOEFL ITP® tests assess skills in four areas: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, structure and written expression, and speaking. You will be able to identify areas in which students need help so that you can tailor your instruction to meet those needs.

The TOEFL ITP tests are available in two levels, each of which demonstrates a specific level of English proficiency:

The TOEFL ITP Level 1 assesses students at the intermediate to advanced level (Intermediate to Advanced).

In 2010, École de Guerre's Head of English, Emilie Cleret, made it a priority to develop English language training programs for officers to communicate effectively when present in multinational organizations (e.g., UN, NATO, EU), public speaking. The question immediately arose about evaluating skills: How can we measure the quality of training and how can we see a clear picture of the effectiveness of training? To assess the effectiveness of their English-language programs, École de Guerre ran a tender and chose TOEIC® Listening and Reading and TOEIC® Speaking and Writing Tests. The college uses the tests every year.
